Dove’s Eyes

A dove has no peripheral view, so it is only able to focus on one thing at a time.

“Don’t stare at me because I am dark— the sun has darkened my skin. My brothers were angry with me; they forced me to care for their vineyards, so I couldn’t care for myself—my own vineyard.”

Song of Songs‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NLT‬‬.

The Bride of Christ has suffered such persecutions from her brothers, rendered in other translations as stepbrothers. The plan of the devil is to relentlessly bombard us with trials, so we spend our time focusing on the problems than focusing on Christ Jesus

This is how the enemies of our souls, harass us by keeping us busy with the cares of life, laboring in our own strength, and preventing us from having those precious moments, like Mary, who sat at the feet of Jesus. As a result, our relationship with Jesus, and our fellowship (vineyard) is left unattended.

Today, I pray that we will have doves’ eyes ( Songs of Sol. 1:15). A dove has no peripheral view, so it is only able to focus on one thing at a time. May Jesus become our main focus, so we can develop our relationship with Him. IJMN.
